Day of the Dead is a holiday where the living reunites with the dead. It is on November 2nd. During this festival, families create offerings to honor their family members. They decorate the alter with yellow flowers, photos of the dead, and their favorite foods and drinks. There are also skulls on the altar of the deceased made of sugar to celebrate this day. People believe that the food can encourage the dead to visit them.

El día de los Muertos es una fiesta donde los vivos ­­­­­se reúnen con los muertos. Se celebra el dos de noviembre. En este día, las familias hacen ofrendas para honrar a sus familiares. Ellos ­­­decoran el altar con flores amarillas, fotos de los muertos, y sus comidas y ­bebidas favoritas. También ponen calaveras (skulls) hechas de azúcar para celebrar este día. La gente piensa que la comida puede animar a los muertos a visitarlos.
